The Parish Council has just been re-accredited as a Quality Council for a further 4 years.  A portfolio was submitted to the Cambridgeshire & Peterborough Association of Local Councils panel which demonstrates that we have reached the standard required by passing several tests set by the National Association of Local Councils. These are:

  • Electoral Mandate
  • Qualifications of the clerk
  • Council meetings
  • Communication and Community Engagement
  • Annual Report
  • Accounts
  • Code of Conduct
  • Promoting local democracy and citizenship
  • Terms and conditions
  • Training

Contacting the Police

“A new national non-emergency number 101 will come into effect in Cambridgeshire from September. This non-emergency number can be used for reporting a stolen car, criminal damage, minor traffic accidents or to give Police information about crime in the area. 999 should still be used in a emergency, such as when a crime is in progress, or if there’s a danger to life or violence is being used or threatened.”
